What’s Different About our Cabinets?
“Designed for Performance, Built to Last.” That describes our product pretty well and that’s what sets us apart. A cabinet is a cabinet, right? Well, is a car a car? To us, there’s nothing like that new car smell and feel. We think it should be the same with your cabinets and furniture. They shouldn’t, after just a few short months of use, have sagging doors, chips, scratches, cracks, stains, delaminating, and that worn out look. So, that’s why we do it better.
"Quality, Innovation, Service"...We take it seriously.

QUALITY
Now there’s a concept that seems a bit old fashioned these days. Well, we still do things the old fashion way. Sure, we’ve got that fancy CNC machinery and the even fancier software to run it, but at the end of the day, nothing can replace true craftsmanship to achieve the quality we want and that you deserve (and paid for!) Our cabinets and furniture are still assembled by hand, one at a time, by an experienced woodworker. We know that only skilled hands can be certain the edges aren’t sharp, everything is properly filed and sanded smooth, the doors adjusted just right, and the drawers are operating effortlessly and quietly. Without a doubt the fancy machines help. In the good old days we’d cut the parts as close as we could, take forever to build the cabinets, then cover the gaps with trim and putty. Nowadays, the parts are cut with precision, the cabinets are assembled quickly, and everything fits. That is, with a little help from human hands.

It all starts with good quality materials.
It’s just too hard to make a good product from junk though we know of many who try.
So here’s a little about that…
We use only true Industrial Grade particle board, medium density fiberboard (MDF) and plywood. All made in the USA and a full ¾” thick.. We’ve tried the cheaper stuff which causes the doors to warp, the melamine to chip or flake, and some of the plywood to delaminate. The good stuff is more stable, denser, has better screw holding ability and greater internal bond strength. You’ll like it.
Our melamine is thicker than most and thermally fused to the core material for greater chemical, abrasion, and impact resistance. Better, in fact, than lab grade painted steel. Don’t be fooled with spray-on coatings or vinyl overlays…they’re not the same.

PVC is our edging material of choice, 3 mm thick. That’s tough stuff! In our own testing department we did the BEAT-THE EDGE-WITH-A-HAMMER-A-BUNCH-OF-TIMES-THEN-DROP-THE-THING-ON-THE-FLOOR Test…and we collected lots of empirical data! The test results show that the laminate wasn’t chipped or damaged and the PVC edging showed nary a scratch. No worries! PVC edging is available in colors to match or compliment most laminates.
Our drawer slides are heavy gauge epoxy coated steel. The drawer slide serves as the side of the drawer box, with a 100 lb load capacity. They operate quietly and smoothly and self close from an extension of about 4 inches. The manufacturer tests the drawers to withstand a minimum of 100,000 open/close cycles. Our testing department did the OPEN-THE-DRAWER-AND-SLAM-IT-SHUT-A-WHOLE-BUNCH-OF-TIMES- Test! It’s all good…One of our guys (and he’s a biggun at that) also STOOD in the drawer…Still good!
This one’s important…..our high pressure decorative laminates (HPDL) are bonded to the substrate with PVA adhesive. That simply means no delaminating, unlike the poor bond that is achieved with ordinary contact adhesive. As a bonus the PVA adhesives are environmentally friendly, with low VOCs. Remember the white glue we all used in elementary school? That’s a very close “consumer grade” cousin. Extremely safe…
This one’s important too..Our cabinets are fully assembled at the factory using conventional joinery such as screws, dowels, grooves and dados. That guarantees a strong, rigid, stable cabinet, unlike cabinets that are assembled on the job with clip-together fasteners. Sometimes the old fashion way is still the best way…
INNOVATION
We’re not just an “inside the box” cabinet manufacturer. There’s more to most projects than standard cabinets, so we offer a complete “Outside the Box” custom product service. In fact, even our standard cabinets are custom fit to your location.
We’ll include custom nurses stations, information and reception desks, security stations, display cabinets and just about any type of custom furniture you would like. We’ll work closely with your architect or designer to make it happen.
We constantly strive to improve our product. If there are new materials and hardware available, we try them. The same goes for new machinery and manufacturing methods. If we can make it faster and better it saves us, and you, time and money. With our ECO-CAB line of green cabinets, we’re the first kid on the block to offer cabinets that contribute to LEED points at an affordable price.
